The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to begin their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

What Defines the Combat Party

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then settled his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group access places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in search of the antagonist.
